With a background working across global magazines and brands, Ellie is a freelance creative copywriter and journalist, previously in-house at Rankin’s eponymous creative agency. Also a runner, swimmer, footballer and climber, Ellie founded The Movement Movement in summer 2021, as a means to create a print-led, inclusive sports conversation by and for women. Ellie is now committed to not only creating a new and open conversation for women, but to actively transforming the male-driven sports media landscape from the inside out.

Coming from background in foreign languages, literature and design, Erica is a graphic designer based in London, originally from Milan. Member of the International Society of Typographic Designers since July 2021, she is passionate about typography, literature, photography and, of course, magazines. VERONIKA JAVORSKÁ

DIGITAL DESIGNER

Veronika is a student of graphic design from Czech Republic with a heart set in the northwest of Ireland. With a background in coding, she has always been fascinated by combining the two – design and code – into websites. Sofia is a producer and photographer, her work predominantly commenting on pop culture and her experience as a queer woman consuming today’s media. Having worked with HUNGER and tmrw magazine, Sofia is now a freelance producer, working to create projects that are provocative, inclusive and empowering.

Hannah is a London-based copywriter. Drawn to writing about film, people and storytelling, she also works in the TV and film space as a freelance film reviewer. Hannah joined The Movement Movement to work alongside Ellie on editorial, where she hopes to nurture honest, introspective writing about sport and movement.

Graduating with a degree in Photography in 2020, Lucy has since gone on to explore curation, photographic assisting and wider fashion and documentary projects. Lucy has a major passion for exploring social and women’s issues, leading her on her project to explore the importance of safe spaces in fitness and sport, fuelled further by first-hand experience of women-led sport environments. Moving forward, Lucy hopes to continue a creative practice that accurately represents women’s active journeys and interests.
